To put Hyundai wipers in service position, ensure your vehicle is off and ignition is set to ON.Locate the wiper controls, usually on the right side of the steering wheel.Activate service mode by holding down the wiper lever for a few seconds. This positions the wipers vertically on the windshield, allowing for maintenance or replacement.Remember to turn off the ignition and return the wipers to their normal position when done. This process is crucial for proper wiper maintenance and functionality in adverse weather conditions.Preparing Your VehicleBefore setting your Hyundai's wipers to service mode, make sure the car is parked on a flat surface and turned off. This is important for safety and to protect the car's electrical system. Ensure the car won't move or the wipers won't turn on by accident while you're adjusting them.Look around to make sure it's safe to work on the car, especially if you're on a busy street. Move to a safer place if necessary. Safety is important when working near the car's exterior.Make sure the car is off to prevent the wipers from turning on by mistake. Now is a good time to get any tools or gloves you'll need.Locating the Wiper ControlsTo put the wipers of your Hyundai in service position, find the wiper controls either on the dashboard or the steering column. Most often, these controls are on the steering column, as a lever you move up or down to change the wiper speed. Some newer Hyundai models might've extra wiper controls on a dashboard touchscreen, if available. It's important to know where these controls are because you need them to adjust the wiper speed, turn them on or off, and put them in service mode. The location and look of these controls might vary a bit based on the Hyundai model and year. The wiper controls are easy to use once you find them. They've clear symbols so you know which lever or button controls the wipers. This makes it easy to adjust your wipers for regular use or maintenance.Activating Service ModeTo activate the service mode for your Hyundai's wipers, follow these steps:Turn off your vehicle for safety.Turn the ignition on but don't start the engine. This is the accessory mode.Find the wiper stalk on the steering column, usually on the right side.Push and hold the wiper stalk in the 'mist' position for 2 to 3 seconds.Release the stalk. The wipers will move to the service position, higher up on the windshield, making it easier to perform maintenance.Adjusting the WipersTo adjust or change the wipers on your Hyundai, first make sure they're in the service position. To adjust for better coverage, lift each wiper arm off the windshield. There's a hinge where the arm and blade connect. Gently adjust the angle or position here, but don't force it too much as they only move within a certain range. To replace the blades, press the small tab where the blade and arm meet. This will release the blade. Then, slide off the old blade, line up the new one with the arm's hook, and push it in until it clicks into place. You don't need tools for this. Use your hands to adjust or replace the blades, working on one wiper at a time to avoid damage to the windshield or wiper arms.Following these steps will help you adjust or replace your Hyundai's wiper blades easily for clear visibility in the rain.Final ChecksAfter you change or adjust the wiper blades on your Hyundai, do these checks to make sure they work well:Test the Wipers: Turn the car on and try the wipers at different speeds. They should move smoothly without any strange sounds or stopping.Check Wiper Position: Make sure the wipers are in the right spot when they aren't in use. They shouldn't go past the windshield edge or touch the car frame.Look for Streaks: Wet the windshield and use the wipers. They should remove water without leaving any streaks or spots.Check if Attached Well: Pull on the wiper blades gently to make sure they're tightly fixed to the wiper arms. They shouldn't move, showing they're properly installed.ConclusionYou've now put your Hyundai's wipers in the right spot for fixing or changing them. You got your car ready, found the wiper buttons, turned on the right mode, and moved the wipers. Make sure everything is right before you finish. With the wipers in the correct spot, your car's windshield will stay clear, and you can see well, no matter the weather. Taking care of small things like this helps you drive safely. Good job on looking after your car.
